Bold New Mastering EQ Available

A brand new mixing and mastering bundle was released this morning by hot new dev, Audified. The stunning and unique looking plugins are modeled from a pair of very rare, vintage, valve equalizer modules made by classic german manufacturer, Siemens for use in their Universal Mixing and Control Console – more famously known as ‘Klangfilm’.

The modules RZ062a and RZ062b look the same but upon closer inspection you’ll see that RZ062a is a full blown EQ with a ’tilt’ behavior rotating around the 650Hz frequency, raising the bass and lowering the treble when turned one way and doing the opposite when turned the other. The ‘b’ version has a ‘presence’ control instead of a mid-frequency band.

RZ062 – Vintage Vibes

For those producers and engineers who love to have eye candy on their screen the RZ062 does not disappoint…

Using so-called ‘white box’ modeling techniques, Audified have presented us with an incredibly subtle and worthwhile coloring EQ. APN were lucky enough to test the RZ bundle and were surprised at the deep level of sonic sophistication. It’s no surprise that there was a musician/producer involved throughout the project; that sensitivity really shows. The first thing we noticed is that the affected output of the RZ is very broad and tasteful. So much so that all we really wanted to do was additive EQ’ing. Gentle boosting and raising of the multiple sweet spots on a Group or Bus. This is definitely a great Mastering EQ as well – thanks to the Mid/Side functionality that both modules feature.

The RZ062 Equalizer is available as an AAX, AU, VST2, VST3, 32- and 64-bit native plug-in bundle for MacOS (10.9 and above) and Windows (7 and above)

Audified’s RZ062 Bundle is available to purchase here   at an introductory promo price of $149.00 USD until September 10, 2017 — rising to $199.00 USD immediately after.
