IK Multimedia releases modeled Synth Collection
IK Multimedia’s new virtual instrument, Syntronik is a standalone collection of seventeen classic synths that are available as a collection or as separate modules. Syntronik is stuffed to the gills with over 2,000 presets. Under the hood, IK’s synthesis engine features a rather interesting looking, analog circuit modeled filter section showcasing what they are terming their ‘exclusive DRIFT™ technology’. IK claim that this tech will accurately reproduce the behavior of oscillators from real hardware synths.
Weighing in at an impressive 50GB and featuring over 70,000 samples it is clear that this vintage piece is aimed squarely at purveyors of Spectrasonics’ Keyscape. Something that should not escape our attention is the insane looking effects section where the Italian company seems to have gone all in with the tastiest morsels from both T-RackS and AmpliTube. The layout will look eerily familiar to owners of Slate’s VMR but it’s all the better for it. 500 series rack fans rejoice!
