Drumforge Finally Release A Virtual Drum Plugin
The unexpected but welcome news from renowned virtual drum specialists Drumforge, is that they’ve released a rather natty looking sample playback engine for their legendary drum library that’s been newly designed from the ground up. Up until now, fans of their famously hard-hitting drums have only been able to enjoy the sounds via Native Instruments’ Kontakt. Uniquely, updates will be available for FREE for the lifetime of this software – something that is widely desired but unusual in the
virtual instrument field. Featuring not just the library but a full blown mixer, with 8 Groups, Buses and sends it also has a very well stocked pallette of onboard effects and processors (including some of Drunforge’s own as well as the ability to switch kit pieces on the fly whilst auditioning the kits live. The Drumforge library is a healthy 13.6GB on disc and it does use iLok copy-protection – which is great for working producers who constantly find themselves in different studios.
