As a company, Solid State Logic (or simply SSL) are sonic behemoths in the audio industry. Originally released in 2006, SSL’s legendary Duende plugins have finally come of age with new coding, hi res graphics and slipstreamed interfaces – as well as new preset functionality.

This is very exciting for many of us who have been desiring a little more workflow sophistication from these awesome sounding tools. If you are already a Duende V5 owner this massive upgrade comes completely free – which is a very pleasant surprise for long time users.

Solid State Logic claim that the gorgeous new bus compressor has been completely redesigned since the last Native version that was first made available back in 2011. To this effect, it features newer, more efficient code as well as a very up-to-date new look and is based on the XL 9000 K Series console. Users will appreciate the updated preset handling and the cleaner, simplified user interface. SSL say all v6 plugins can be installed alongside the older ones, as presets are incompatible between versions.
